What houses are in a natal chart
Houses are the twelve areas of life a chart divides into. A sign says what kind of energy a planet has; a house says where it plays out — money, relationships, work or home. They’re counted from the Ascendant, so without a birth time there are none.
All twelve in brief
- You yourself: appearance, manner, first reaction.
- The money you earn, possessions, the body, self-worth.
- The close circle, speech, study, short trips, siblings.
- Home, family, roots, parents, the state of «being backed».
- Creativity, infatuation, children, play, risk, pleasure.
- Daily work, routine, health, duties, habits.
- Partnership: marriage, associates, open opponents.
- Crises and transformations, other people’s money, inheritance, depth.
- Long journeys, faith, higher education, worldview.
- Profession, status, reputation, life’s aim.
- Friends, communities, hopes, plans.
- The hidden: the subconscious, solitude, what hinders from within.
An empty house is not an empty life
There are ten planets and twelve houses: everyone has mostly empty houses, and that’s the norm. An empty house just means the theme isn’t overloaded — you work with it through its ruler, the planet governing the sign on that house’s border.
What to ask Viki
- «What’s in my 7th house?»
- «Why is my money house empty?»
- «Who rules my 10th house and where does it stand?»
- «Which house holds most of my planets and what does that mean?»
Ask about any house — Viki explains it on your chart.
