The «card of the week» game: the deck in 78 weeks
You take one card and live with it for a week: watch where it shows up, ask Viki about its different facets, sum up on Sunday. Seventy-eight weeks is a year and a half — but after that a card is never forgotten. It’s the opposite of the daily-card mode and works entirely differently.
How it differs from the daily card
The daily card gives speed: the whole deck in two and a half months, but shallow. The card of the week gives depth: in seven days you get to see one image working in different situations — at work, at home, in conversation, in silence.
How to play
- On Monday ask Viki to pick the card of the week, or take the next one in deck order.
- Ask the base meaning and write it down in your own words.
- Each day ask one new question about it: «what’s it like about money», «and in relationships», «and which card is its opposite».
- Notice where it showed up in life.
- On Sunday sum up in one phrase: what this card means to you personally.
Study order
Simplest is to follow the deck’s structure: twenty-two weeks of the major arcana, then fourteen weeks per suit. By the end of the first year you’ve covered the majors and two suits.
The personal dictionary
The main result isn’t memorised meanings but your own phrasings. «The Eight of Cups is when you walk away from something good because it stopped being yours» holds in the head better than any reference book.
If a year and a half scares you
Take only the major arcana: twenty-two weeks, just under half a year. That’s enough to read most spreads with confidence.
One card per week — and it stays forever.
