Ten questions instead of an astrology textbook
Ten questions covering the basics: how a sign differs from a house, what each planet does, what the Ascendant is, aspects, orbs, retrogradation, transits and house systems. Ask one at a time — Viki explains on your chart, and theory turns straight into recognising yourself.
The ten questions
- «How does a sign differ from a house — explain as if to a beginner»
- «What does each planet mean in astrology, briefly»
- «What is the Ascendant and why does it matter more than it seems»
- «What is an aspect and what kinds are there»
- «What is an orb and why do people argue over it»
- «What does a retrograde planet mean»
- «How does a natal chart differ from transits»
- «Why are there different house systems»
- «What is a stellium and do I have one»
- «Where does one even start reading a chart — what’s the order?»
How to ask
One at a time, adding «show it on my chart». The difference between «what is a square» and «show my Mars–Saturn square and explain» is roughly the difference between reading about swimming and water.
Don’t fear silly questions
«I understand nothing, explain from the very beginning» is a perfectly normal request. Viki won’t tire and won’t condescend. That, by the way, is the main advantage over a live teacher: the same thing can be re-asked five times.
What next
Once the basics settle — move to your chart by steps: Sun, Moon, Ascendant, then houses, then aspects. There’s a separate guide on that.
Explained on your chart, not in a vacuum.
