How to phrase a question for the tarot
A good question holds three things: the area, the timeframe and your own role. «What awaits me?» is a poor question — it has no precise answer. «What’s blocking my raise negotiation this month?» is a good one: it has a topic, a deadline and an action that depends on you.
Why the wording decides everything
Cards don’t know what you’re silently thinking. They answer the question asked. A blurry question earns a blurry answer — and then it seems «tarot doesn’t work», when it was the wording that didn’t.
Three mandatory parts
- The area: relationships, work, money, health, relocation, study.
- The timeframe: now, this month, by the end of the year. Without a deadline the answer floats.
- Your role: what you do, decide or can change in this situation.
Substitutions that instantly help
- Instead of «what will happen?» → «what is going on, and what should I watch?»
- Instead of «does he love me?» → «what’s between us now, and what should I understand?»
- Instead of «when?» → «what has to happen for this to come about?»
- Instead of «did I do the right thing?» → «where is what I’ve already done leading?»
Questions not to ask
About death, diagnoses and pregnancy — that’s for a doctor. About other people’s secrets that don’t concern you — pointless. The same question five times a day — there’s a separate guide on that.
If the wording won’t come
Describe the situation as it is — three paragraphs, a voice note, whatever. Viki extracts the question herself and offers the wording; you confirm or adjust. That’s often the most useful part.
Describe the situation — Viki assembles the question.
