What the program calculates and what the neural network writes
Every number — planetary positions, house cusps, aspect angles, the Pythagorean square, the card of the day — is computed by code from formulas and NASA JPL data. The neural network is responsible only for the words: it explains the results in human language. Viki cannot invent a Mars position that doesn’t exist.
Why this matters
Ask a bare language model «where was Mars on 14 March 1991» and it answers confidently — and, most likely, wrongly. It doesn’t calculate; it recalls something similar. That’s exactly why astrology inside a generic chatbot doesn’t work.
In Viki that layer is separated: first the code calculates, then the model explains. The model receives finished numbers and cannot «reinvent» them.
What the code computes
- Positions of all planets, Chiron, the nodes, Lilith, the Part of Fortune, the vertex.
- House cusps in the chosen system, the Ascendant, the MC.
- Aspects and their orbs.
- The Pythagorean square — pure arithmetic on the date.
- The card of the day — determined by the date, not re-drawn on every request.
- Transits and the moment they become exact.
What the neural network does
It reads the calculation, remembers your history and writes the interpretation: what it means, how it connects to your last conversation, what to do about it. That’s its job — and there it is genuinely good.
Where the human factor remains
Interpretation is not an exact science. Different schools read the same configuration differently, and that’s normal. Viki relies on Victoria Rommer’s methods — she checks and refines them personally.
