Why Viki sometimes takes a moment
In short
An ordinary question gets an instant reply. But a natal chart, a PDF report, a big spread or a sigil is a real calculation plus image rendering, and that takes up to a couple of minutes. If she’s been «typing» longer than usual, she’s working, not frozen.
What happens in those minutes
- Your date, time and city are converted into coordinates and universal time.
- Planetary positions are fetched — Chiron’s from the NASA JPL ephemerides.
- Houses are computed in your chosen system, aspects with proper orbs, extra points.
- The image is drawn: the wheel, the glyphs, the aspect lines.
- Only then is the human-language reading written.
What’s fast and what isn’t
- Fast: conversation, questions about things already calculated, the card of the day, a short spread.
- Not instant: the natal chart, the PDF report, 7- and 10-card spreads, sigils and staves — those involve image generation too.
Why we don’t promise «instant»
Because it would be a lie. Only templates are instant. If a service promises a natal chart in a second, it is almost certainly pasting your sun sign into a canned text.
If there’s no reply at all
Wait a couple of minutes, then write again. Still silence — the message probably didn’t get through the messenger: send it once more.
