Your first consultation for a friend: how to prepare

In short

Prepare on three fronts: agree the format and boundaries in advance, rehearse the reading with Viki on her data, and decide what you will not say. A first consultation fails not from not knowing the cards but from not knowing how to carry yourself.

Before the conversation

  1. Agree the question. «Look at something for me» is the worst start: no telling what counts as success.
  2. Take the data in advance: date, time and city of birth, if a chart is involved.
  3. Run the reading through with Viki: build the chart, lay the spread, ask her the questions your friend will ask.
  4. Set boundaries: how much time, which topics you don’t take.

What not to say

  • Forecasts about health, pregnancy and death. In no form.
  • «You have heavy karma» and verdicts of that kind.
  • Exact dates of events.
  • Anything the person didn’t ask. Especially about third parties.

How to answer «so when?»

Honestly: «cards show the arrangement of forces, not a calendar». The worst move is naming a date to avoid disappointing. It’s the one mistake that will be held against you later.

If you don’t know something

Say «I don’t know yet, I’ll look into it». Admitting ignorance adds trust; invention removes it forever. You can check with Viki afterwards and come back with the answer.

Afterwards

Ask your friend what resonated and what didn’t. And go over with Viki where you missed: it’s the only way to grow. A first consultation is always uneven — what matters is that it isn’t the last.

On money

First readings are usually done free, and that’s normal. But agree on it in advance, or it gets awkward.

How it looks in the chat
My friend asks me to read her chart, I’m scared
Let’s rehearse. Send her data — I’ll build the chart, and you try reading it yourself, out loud. I’ll ask the questions she will: «and what about money», «and when». We’ll train on the uncomfortable ones.
Rehearse the reading

Viki plays the client and asks the uncomfortable questions.
