Can you order a sigil for someone else
You can — if the person knows and has phrased what they want themselves. Then it’s a gift. What you can’t do is make a symbol aimed at someone’s behaviour: «so he calls», «so she agrees». That doesn’t work, and it amounts to deciding for another person.
Where the line runs
A simple test: could you show this symbol to the person and explain what’s written in it? If yes — all fine. If no — you’re doing something behind their back.
Fine
- A friend said she’s scared of an exam and asked for a calm symbol.
- Your husband agreed, and you phrased an intention for a shared project together.
- For a child — confidence before a performance, with their knowledge and in a form they understand.
Doesn’t work
- «So he comes back».
- «So the boss changes his mind».
- «So she leaves my husband alone».
Beyond the ethics there’s the mechanics: a symbol works as an anchor to your action. An intention about someone else’s behaviour contains no action of yours — there’s nothing to hook.
How to rephrase
Turn the intention back onto yourself. Not «so he calls» but «I live my life calmly and don’t check my phone». Not «so the boss changes his mind» but «I come with arguments and speak plainly». Symbols like that both assemble and work.
If you insist anyway
Viki won’t lecture you, but she will offer to turn the phrasing around — because that’s how the symbol becomes useful.
Viki helps phrase it so it works.
