Can you gift Pro to a friend
There’s no dedicated «gift» button — and we won’t pretend there is. But since activation is manual and goes through a person, it’s arranged in the chat: write that you want to pay for someone else’s subscription, and agree on how to hand over the code.
How it works in practice
- Write in the chat that you want to gift Pro and for what term.
- A person contacts you and confirms the details.
- After payment the activation code arrives.
- You pass the code to the person you’re gifting — they enter it in their own chat with Viki.
An important detail
The code activates in the recipient’s chat. That means they must already have a conversation with Viki — at least a «hi». Otherwise the code has nowhere to land.
What to gift along with the code
Ask Viki for a ready-made welcome message to forward: it’s easier for your friend to start if she immediately understands what this is and why. Your own conversation stays private.
What there won’t be
A pretty certificate or greeting card — the service doesn’t have those. For now it’s simply a code in a chat.
The sensible gift
Three months. A month is too short to catch even one real transit alert, and a year is a serious commitment to make on someone else’s behalf.
