The card of the day and the Moon’s phase
The Moon phase sets the day’s background; the card sets the accent. Read together they’re sharper: the same card on a waxing versus a waning Moon nudges different actions. Ask Viki «what’s today’s Moon phase» — she calculates planetary positions from ephemerides and answers factually.
Four phases in brief
- New Moon — conceive, plan, force nothing.
- Waxing — build, push, take first steps.
- Full Moon — peak visibility and emotion; a poor moment for sharp decisions, a great one for seeing what was hidden.
- Waning — finish, release, clean up, close tails.
Combining with the card
Take the card’s meaning, lay it on the phase. Ace of Wands on a waxing Moon is a straight «begin». The same Ace on a waning Moon reads «let the idea ripen; launch later». The Eight of Cups on a waning Moon sounds like permission to leave; on a waxing one, like leaving too soon.
How to ask
- «What’s the Moon phase today?»
- «How does the phase sit with my card today?»
- «Is today good for starting something new?»
No fanaticism
The Moon is a background, not a rulebook. Scheduling life by the lunar calendar is a way to never do anything: the right phase is always not now. Use it as a hint about pace.
