Why the card of the day doesn’t change on re-asking
The card of the day is computed from the date, not drawn anew per request. So it’s one for the whole day: ask again and the same card returns. That’s how a live reader works — and it’s the whole idea of a daily card: to live the day with one card, not to fish for a nicer one.
What would happen otherwise
If the card were drawn fresh each time, the predictable would follow: saw the Tower — asked again. Ten of Swords — again. And so on until the Sun shows up. That’s not divination, that’s shuffling until satisfied — and it means nothing.
Why one card works
The value isn’t in the card itself but in keeping it in mind for twenty-four hours. One thought to return to. Allow re-draws and the one thought stops being one.
Fixed card, open conversation
The card is fixed; the talk about it isn’t. Ask as much as you like: «tell me more», «how does it touch my work», «what about relationships». The answers grow deeper — the card stays the same.
And spreads?
Spreads work differently: cards are drawn for your question, and a new spread gives new cards. Though re-laying the same question five times a day is pointless there too — there’s a separate guide about that.
One card a day — like with a live reader.
