The horary question: how it works
Horary is a distinct astrological technique: the chart is cast not for the moment of birth but for the moment you asked the question. It answers directly, to «should I, right now…». It comes with the Pro subscription and works only with concrete questions that have a timeframe and an action of yours.
The idea
The premise is that the moment a question ripened and was asked describes the situation by itself. The chart of that moment is the answer. The technique is ancient and, unlike natal astrology, speaks not about personality but about the specific case.
Questions that fit
- «Should I accept this offer right now?»
- «Is there any point going to this meeting?»
- «Should I start the conversation first?»
- «Should I buy this apartment?»
They share one thing: a concrete action you can take or not take, and a visible timeframe.
Questions that don’t
«Will I be happy», «when will I meet someone», «what awaits me in life». These aren’t horary questions: they contain neither action nor timeframe. The natal chart answers them better.
How to ask
On the subscription, write directly: «horary question: should I, right now…». Ask it once and mean it — the technique tolerates re-asking the same thing an hour later poorly.
How it differs from a spread
A Tarot spread describes the arrangement of forces and almost always yields «yes, if» or «no, because». Horary answers harder and shorter. Many use both and compare.
