Your personal year
The personal year is a digit from one to nine naming this year’s theme for you personally. It’s computed from your birth day and month plus the current year. Years run in nines: one opens the cycle, nine closes it, then it repeats.
How to compute
Add your birth day, birth month and the current year; reduce to one digit. For 14 March in 2026: 1+4+0+3+2+0+2+6 = 18 → 9. A ninth personal year — a year of completion.
The nine themes
- 1 — the start. The year to begin, scared or not.
- 2 — partnership and patience. Not the year to charge.
- 3 — communication, creativity, visibility.
- 4 — work and structure. Foundations get laid.
- 5 — change and motion. Often the year of moves and turns.
- 6 — home, family, responsibility.
- 7 — pause and reflection. A year inward, not outward.
- 8 — results and money. What was invested returns.
- 9 — completion. Release, finish, clear the ground.
It doesn’t start in January
Most schools switch the personal year on your birthday, not January 1st. So early months of a calendar year can still taste of the old theme — that’s normal.
How to use it
Not as a forecast — as a hint about pace. Starting big in a ninth year is futile: the strength goes to closing. In a first year, waiting for perfect conditions is the mistake.
Ask in combination
«What’s my personal year and how does it sit with my natal chart» — the most useful ask. Numerology names the theme; astrology adds the timing within the year.
